Gateway to Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA

ETS joined Buro Happold to deliver a 123-foot-long galvanized steel cable-net canopy for a covered walkway straddling the 101 Freeway at Los Angeles Street. The structure is part of Mayor Garcetti’s “Great Streets Initiative,” a revitalization effort to beautify and unify Angelenos by activating public spaces, improving public safety, enhancing local culture, and sparking economic revitalization. The total cable net spans 2,112 square feet and is ablaze with LED lights at night.
