ETS replaced the iconic tensile canopy at the Weber Point Events Center amphitheater in Stockton, California. A beloved community venue, Weber Point hosts concerts, festivals and celebrations year-round, and the newly installed shade structure ensures comfort and functionality for both performers and guests.

The scope of work included in-kind replacement of the 17,102 square foot PVC membrane with Serge Ferrari TX30-2 fabric, known for its durability and performance. ETS supplied the membrane and clamping components, working alongside Huntington Design Associates and McFadden Construction to bring the project to life. The process was carefully phased: Phase 1 involved the removal of the original canopy by others, while Phase 2 encompassed repainting the steel structure and installing the new membrane and components.

Installation required a precise strategy to minimize disruptions to the amphitheater’s existing structure and surrounding promenade, preserving the venue’s aesthetics and accessibility. Completed in November 2024, this project restores Weber Point’s iconic shade feature, blending functionality with elegant design and solidifying its place as a vibrant hub for Stockton’s community events.
