FabriTec Structures congratulates its Latin America team for their hard work and dedication on Urban Center Guadalajara which took home an IFAI International Achievement Awards (IAA) ‘Award of Excellence’ recently announced at the IFAI Expo in Charlotte, North Carolina on October 18th. Urban Center Guadalajara is a premiere Mexico shopping center. In collaboration with the project’s prestigious architect and developer, Central de Arquitectura, FabriTec designed an extraordinary roof structure rising 46 feet above the ground level. The roof’s TEFLON™-coated fabric (PTFE) was chosen for its lightweight and translucent properties that let in natural light during the day while blocking out heat and reducing the heat island effect. Visit the IFAI award page for further details about the project and award. See the project in our project gallery for more information.
