The transit canopy at the Georgia World Congress Center is required to provide weather protection to vehicles and individuals using the campus.  As a center hub for the complex, the transit canopy is designed as a progressive and eye-catching structure.    The Enclos Tensile Structures (ETS) team provided a turnkey design-build solution.  This design direction ensures the proper engineering and fabrication designs are considered to provide a cost-effective solution.

PTFE Membrane is ideal for exterior long-clear span applications like this transit canopy.  The membrane durability is established and 30+ years of life expectancy is typical in most applications.  The translucent nature of the fabric membrane provides the correct amount of light diffusion while reflecting much of the solar gain.  The users of this transit station canopy enjoy a pleasantly lit and shaded reprieve from the hot Atlanta sun.
