ETS (formerly FabriTec Structures) engineered and built the replacement canopy for Signature Air, located at the Signature Flight Support Corporation in Tampa, Florida. Originally built in 1980 by Birdair, the new structure expands on the original structure with improved foundations, connections, and while keeping its novel shape.
Located at Signature’s top-rated Fixed Base Operations (FBOs) in the country, the canopy has become synonymous with the aviation services facility itself and is a well-known landmark among pilots and locals alike.
The Signature Air Tampa canopy project is another airport canopy ETS completed. Other airport projects include the saddle canopies at TEXRail DFW Airport Terminal B Station the company completed at the end of 2014 and the ETFE canopy at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport which is the largest ETFE Cushion structure in North America
