ETS provided a turnkey design-build solution for the Bayside Church project team, providing design, engineering, fabrication, supply and installation of the PTFE-clad elevated arch-framed structure covering a plan area of 8,690 square feet at the entrance to the Granite Bay Campus.
The framed structure is 65′ wide by 133′ long, comprised of five equal bays. Ten columns 14” in diameter extend nearly 20′ above grade, some of which include integral downspouts. A typical column mast receives four diagonal strut tabs at the top via bolted connections. The entire structure was constructed without field welding.
The complete scope of work included white PTFE, an anodized aluminum clamping system, a steel-framed system, gutters, downspouts, and provisions for video board signage, lighting, three large fans, and heaters hung from the ridge beams.
The steel and membrane scope of work on the Bayside Church canopy is an excellent example of ETS’s preferred scope of Base Plates Up.
