The Glow Plaza Festival Grounds is Reno’s first art and entertainment-themed resort property capable of hosting up to 6,000 patrons. The PTFE Tensile canopy over the stage will provide shade for performers during the day and portray dazzling light shows at night. A mesh PTFE fabric was selected to allow water to weep through the Tensile Structures and avoid ponding under snow loads. The plaza Tension Structures (shown here in these photos) offer shelter for rotating art exhibits. The festival grounds serve as an anchor point for the half-mile strip of Reno’s art and entertainment district. The durability of PTFE-coated fiberglass fabric will ensure that these canopies will be here for generations to enjoy.
